I am also trying to find the solution to this problem. The reason for this, i do not know, but i had this problem with killing floor as well and that game uses. As you may or may not know, creative isn't known for their awesome drivers, as with a ton of games, this little driver makes everything die out in a blue screen of death. How do I tell which version of driver I have and if I need to update the drivers?

Good to hear the latest patch might have fixed the problem. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message.

I do notice that it usually crashes when the songs in the background switch, which was exactly the case with killing floor except that song looped and it would crash when it was done looping and repeated itself Also it never happens in a fresh game.
